Tracking continued quiet weather, warming up late week

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cool with lows in the upper 30s to low 40s.

TOMORROW: A few morning clouds followed by sunshine with highs in the low to mid-70s.

EXTENDED: Cool air sticks around as high pressure will be directly overhead tonight, allowing temperatures to fall off into the lower 40s. Some places across northern Missouri may see some patchy frost with overnight lows in the upper 30s. Tomorrow will be comfortable again with northwest winds keeping temperatures in the 70s, but as upper high pressure continues to build this week, the jet stream lifts a bit farther north and temperatures respond accordingly, jumping into the lower 80s. We don't see much change until late in the weekend as a strong, slowly moving cold front moves in from the north. Rain chances are looking pretty slim with that, but we'll see a nice cool down with morning temperatures falling back into the 40s on Monday morning with highs hovering in the upper 60s to around 70.
