Tracking clouds and rain by tomorrow night

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds with warmer lows in the lower 60s.

TOMORROW: Partly to mostly cloudy and hazy with highs in the mid-80s.

EXTENDED: Smoky haze due to ongoing wildfires to our north will continue into Thursday along with an increase in high to mid-level clouds as Hurricane Francine makes landfall tonight and tracks north as a tropical storm. As the low pressure system continues to weaken and slow, it will bring continued clouds and scattered showers as the outer bands approach southeast Missouri on Thursday night. Much of Mid-Missouri will miss out on the most impressive rainfall, but we could see up to 0.25" across the eastern half of our area if the storm continues on its current path. Clouds hang around Friday night into Saturday, keeping temperatures in the 70s on Friday. We'll see more sunshine later on Saturday with mild temperatures in the mid-80s through Sunday. Next week looks warm with highs in the low to mid-80s and limited chances for measurable rain.
