Tracking a mostly dry forecast with isolated rain chances

TONIGHT: Mostly dry conditions continue through the overnight, but light showers in the northwest may bring some rain to the ground. Temperatures remain cool through the evening, before falling into the 60s overnight.

TOMORROW: Sunday will be another mostly dry day, but an upper low with some limited moisture and instability overhead will lend themselves to isolated and spotty showers and storms. Some lightning will be possible, but no severe weather is expected. Temperatures will again be stuck near 80 for highs.

EXTENDED: This pattern of isolated showers and storms will continue into Monday, with plenty of dry time interrupted by spotty rainfall through the day. Overall even Monday looks mostly dry. Some in the south will see better moisture and overall rainfall chances Tuesday, but for Columbia and Jefferson City rain chances will be very low and isolated in nature. Tuesday will be the best chance for rain in the forecast, as we see rain showers become fewer and farther in between on Wednesday. Drier weather settles in the rest of the week, but we'll be eying better gulf moisture returning to the region by the weekend. Temperatures remain cooler than average, and in the mid-80s through the forecast.
