Tracking a bright and summery Sunday

TODAY: Skies remain mostly sunny with temperatures making a run for the upper 80s to low 90s. The UV index reaches an 8 this afternoon which can burn skin in less than a half hour.

TOMORROW: Rain chances return Monday morning with scattered showers and some rumbles of thunder possible. Temperatures take a slight hit but still make it well into the 80s.

EXTENDED: On Tuesday we'll warm to around 90 degrees once again ahead of a cold front in the afternoon and evening. This could produce severe storms on Tuesday with supercells tracking in from the west bringing all hazards. Stay tuned for forecast updates in the coming days. Wednesday may also see storm chances but severe potential is more uncertain and mostly south of our area at that point.
