Tracking spotty Tuesday storms

TODAY: Tuesday brings more scattered showers and thunderstorms to the region. Storms will be widely scattered across the region, with plenty of dry time in between. Coverage will increase through late morning into the afternoon, raising chances for rain during that period. Temperatures climb to near 70 for a high.

TONIGHT: Temperatures fall into the low 50s with a partly cloudy sky and a light north breeze around 5 mph. If winds are light enough, some patchy fog could be in store by Wednesday morning.

EXTENDED: Wednesday will be dry, with partly cloudy skies allowing for temperatures in the mid-70s. Thursday brings showers and thunderstorms with a warm front tied to an area of low pressure. The front moves in Thursday, and is slow to pass. An isolated strong storm may be possible Thursday. All but stalling, the system slowly moves through the region. This keeps rain and thunderstorm chances in the forecast for Friday. Temperatures are in the 70s both days, but with rain largely exiting by Saturday, temperatures may climb into the 80s by Saturday afternoon under mostly sunny skies. The weekend looks mostly dry, but limited rain chances can't be ruled out Sunday or Monday.
