Tracking another round of strong storms for parts of Mid-Missouri tomorrow
TONIGHT: Mostly clear with lows in the lower to mid-50s.
TOMORROW: Scattered storms, some could be severe with all hazards possible. The time frame for storms will be from around 8AM-3PM. Highs in the upper 70s with gusty southeast winds.
EXTENDED: Another strong low pressure system is working across the Plains, and a northward lifting warm front will pull in more moisture and warmer temperatures to the region by Wednesday morning. Areas south of the warm front will see storms develop by mid-late morning, and some of these could be strong, with damaging winds and hail possible. This round pushes to the southeast by early afternoon, with more development possible in the late afternoon if the atmosphere can recover, especially along and southeast of Highway 54. Those storms will bring the possibility of large hail, damaging winds up to 60 mph, and tornadoes. Storms will exit our area likely by late afternoon, leaving us cooler and drier heading into Thursday as highs reach the upper 60s to around 70. A back door cold front will bring more clouds on Thursday and a chance for a few showers, but widespread rain isn't expected. Friday through the weekend look dry and nice, with highs in the lower 70s. Sunday will be warmer with highs in the upper 70s.
