Tracking cool mornings and mild afternoons ahead
TONIGHT: I'm tracking a frost advisory in effect for much of central Missouri tonight as temperatures will be falling into the mid 30s. This could harm any sensitive vegetation outside through the overnight hours.
TOMORROW: I'm tracking plenty of sunshine and temperatures warming up into the low 60s by the afternoon hours. Tomorrow night another frost is likely as temperatures will once again fall into the mid 30s.
EXTENDED: I'm tracking high temperatures warming up further into the high 60s and low 70s throughout the rest of the week. There are two main shots at rainfall and possibly thunderstorms, the first being Tuesday. The threat for anything severe on Tuesday is little to none, and a rumble of thunder at most can be expected at this point. Attention is more focused on an active end of the week, as multiple rounds of rain and thunderstorms are anticipated as soon as Thursday afternoon and evening. This active pattern lasts into the weekend and could be associated with stronger characteristics compared to Tuesday. Still, plenty of uncertainty in timing and strength of this activity is present, so stay up to date with the ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Team as we approach the end of the week.
