Tracking rain moving in Wednesday and Thursday

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds, lows in the upper 40s.

TOMORROW: Partly cloudy with rain moving in by late afternoon from the south. A few rumbles of thunder possible. Highs in the mid-upper 60s.

EXTENDED: Clouds finally cleared behind a front that is working to the east-southeast today, but clouds return tonight as strong low pressure to our south spreads moisture north tomorrow afternoon. Showers move in by mid-late afternoon and rain continues for the eastern half of Mid-Missouri on Thursday. Rain amounts will be highest south of I-44, but we could end up with about 0.25" to 0.5" locally. Temperatures remain in the mid-60s the next couple of days before warmer air returns by the weekend as high pressure builds in by Friday. We can expect highs in the upper 70s on Saturday with low 80s by Sunday and Monday. Another storm system could bring rain and storms by early next week, likely between Monday and Tuesday.
