Streamers and prominences could be seen during upcoming solar eclipse

There is an increased chance to see more activity tied to the sun in this Monday's upcoming solar eclipse compared to that of 2017. This falls from the sun being in or near a solar maximum.

The possible bonus spectacles viewers could see in areas of complete totality are called streamers and prominences. Due to more activity on the surface of the sun, these space occurrences could possibly be seen as pink loops or a tangle string of wispy lines extending around the coronal.

Due to the sun being in this or near this polar maximum, there is also a chance to see a coronal mass ejection would would provide viewers with a whole new look for the solar eclipse compared to the previous passing in 2017.
