Tracking dreary conditions before the weekend

TODAY: Stubborn clouds and hit-and-miss showers remain in the forecast today. Winds are sustained at 15-20 mph and may gust as high as 40 mph. Highs are expected to range from mid-40s to low 50s.

TONIGHT: We'll have clouds lingering for some overnight, keeping temperatures in the 30s, but mostly above freezing, overnight.

EXTENDED: Most of Thursday is the same, with shower chances in the east, and broken clouds possible further west. We should start to warm with more sunshine by Friday, leading to a high near 60. More of that sun helps to warm us into the 60s on Saturday. A warm front lifts into the region on Sunday with a chance for showers and storms. This system will be departing by the eclipse on Monday but we'll be tracking lingering cloud cover.
