Tracking strong winds tomorrow, evening rain

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds and breezy with lows in the upper 30s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and windy with highs in the lower 60s. Heightened fire danger with low humidity.

EXTENDED: We'll see more clouds tonight ahead of a warm front that will lift north and bring warmer temperatures and gusty winds tomorrow. We'll start out in the upper 30s in the morning and rise to the low 60s, but with low humidity and winds up to 35 mph, we will see a heightened fire danger during the day. Showers and a few storms move in by evening and continue through most of Monday. Rain totals will be higher east of Highway 63 as the front slows down on Monday. Rain amounts will range from about 0.5 to 1", with those 1" amounts more likely for the eastern half of Mid-MO back toward St. Louis. We'll be much cooler behind the front on Tuesday as highs fall into the upper 40s. Temperatures bounce back into the 50s and 60s with quiet weather for Wednesday and Thursday, and we'll warm back to near 70 on Friday as warm front lifts through. There could be a few showers as that front works through the area, but we're looking mild to start Easter weekend with highs in the 70s on Saturday. Another front works in on Sunday, perhaps triggering a few showers or storms near the front.
