Tracking light showers late today

THIS MORNING: Temperatures start out chilly in the mid to upper 30s with a mostly clear morning.

TODAY: Clouds increase through the day with south winds gusting up to 25 mph. This will warm highs to the upper 60s ahead of a cold front. A few light showers are possible late afternoon but most will stay dry.

EXTENDED: We'll be cooler behind the front with highs in the lower 50s on Saturday and dry conditions persisting into early Sunday. Another cold front brings rain and a storm or two overnight into Monday but rain amounts are dropping with this system. We can expect less than an inch for most of the area and higher amounts just east. After the cold front passes on Monday night, it will be chilly with temperatures dropping to near freezing on Tuesday morning and only reaching the upper 40s by afternoon. Toward the end of the week, as we get closer to the holiday weekend, highs reach the 60s again on Thursday, but a stronger low pressure system could bring more rain to the area.
