Tracking cool, breezy conditions lasting into next week
TONIGHT: I'm tracking a dry cold front shifting winds to the north at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 20 mph and bringing some cloud cover into the area. This will help temperatures drop into the mid 30s by the end of the night.
TOMORROW: I'm tracking a cooler Saint Patrick's Day as more cold air is ushered in from the north. Winds will be from the north at 10-15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. These winds are expected to create an elevated fire danger and only allow temperatures to warm up into the upper 40s.
EXTENDED: I'm tracking a hard freeze Sunday night into Monday as it will cool off into the mid 20s areawide with the help of more northerly winds. Monday will only warm up into the low 40s before more subfreezing air is expected Monday night into Tuesday. A bounce back to warmer temperatures is expected Tuesday as winds shift back to the south and work with sunshine to warm Missouri into the mid 60s by the afternoon. Clouds are expected to slowly return through Wednesday and stick around through the rest of the week with a low rain chance (20-30%) Thursday and Friday.
