Tracking a warmer Thursday, chance of overnight showers

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold with lows in the mid-20s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and breezy to start, with increasing clouds by afternoon. Highs in the lower 50s. Chance of scattered showers after midnight.

EXTENDED: We can expect another chilly night as temperatures  dip into the low to mid-20s, with highs gradually warming back into the low 50s tomorrow. We'll see a disturbance slide by to our south across southern and southeast Missouri tomorrow night, bringing a chance for a few rain showers through early Friday morning. Sunshine returns on Friday, bringing temperatures back up into the upper 50s to around 60 degrees by afternoon. We'll be in for a gorgeous weekend as upper level winds shift to the southwest, sending temperatures into the lower 70s with gusty winds on Saturday. Sunday is even warmer with highs in the upper 70s to around 80, and wind gusts up to 35 mph. We'll be tracking a cold front late Sunday night into Monday that will bring a chance for showers and storms through early Monday morning, but severe weather isn't expected at this time. We'll "cool" into the upper 60s to around 70 on Monday, with a bigger cool down to about 60 by next Tuesday.
