Tracking a cold afternoon before a warming trend approaching this weekend

TODAY: Afternoon highs top out into the upper 30s as winds continue to race out of the northwest at 10-15 mph. Wind chills remain into the upper teens and lower 20s.

TONIGHT: Overnight lows cool to the lower 20s as skies remain mostly clear. Wind chills drop into the teens tonight as winds continue out of the northwest at 4-8 mph.

EXTENDED: Thursday sees a change in winds out of the southwest which kicks off the warming trend for the region. Highs rise into the mid-50s with mostly sunny skies. Thursday night welcomes scattered showers and storms. Into this weekend we see highs into the mid to upper 70s with sunny conditions.
