Tracking spring like temperatures, rain chance mid-week

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold with lows in the mid-20s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and warmer with highs in the mid-50s.

EXTENDED: We continue the spring like stretch into next week with highs in the mid-50s Monday, and 60s Tuesday and Wednesday as the jet stream sends in warmer air from the southwest. Mid-week, we'll be tracking low pressure that brings a cold front through between Wednesday night and Thursday, triggering a chance for rain and thunderstorms. There could be a few isolated strong storms across the southern part of the state, but we'll watch to see if those ingredients line up with the timing of the cold front. We'll be a touch cooler with scattered rain into early Thursday as highs reach the upper 50s. We'll end the week about 10 degrees above average in the lower 50s on Friday, with upper 50s returning by Saturday.
