Tracking more dense fog and the return of rain by morning

TONIGHT: Fog becomes widespread tonight, dropping visibility under half a mile. Rain moves in around daybreak with lows in the upper 30s.

TOMORROW: Showers likely through late afternoon. Highs in the mid-40s.

EXTENDED: Dense fog is expected to develop again this evening and last into tomorrow with warm air continuing to move over cold ground. We'll stay in the upper 30s overnight, with showers moving in around daybreak. Rain will last through mid-late afternoon, exiting completely around or shortly after sunset. We'll be left cloudy with lows in the mid-upper 30s on Friday morning. Friday is dry and a bit warmer as we get into the upper 40s. Another low pressure system will slide in from the southwest to kick off the weekend, bringing rain for much of Saturday and Saturday evening. A few flurries are possible late Saturday night as precipitation exits to the northeast as temperatures drop to near the freezing mark. Clouds linger on Sunday with temperatures near 40, but we'll get a nice warm up next week as upper high pressure begins to build. We can expect temperatures to reach the lower 50s by Monday.
