Tracking Thursday snow before big cool down

TONIGHT: Overnight lows cool to nearly 20 degrees with the possibility for some flurries to light snow showers. Trace amounts of accumulation remain possible. Winds remain out of the southwest at 5-10 mph.

TOMORROW: Light snow showers remain possible towards the afternoon and overnight hours as highs warm into the mid-30s. Snowfall accumulations range from up to a T-2" northeast of Moberly, T-1" south of Moberly to Jefferson City, and up to a trace south of Jefferson City.

EXTENDED: A Weather Alert Day begins Friday morning at midnight through Saturday morning as lows cool to into the single digits and possibly into the negatives once again. Conditions remain dry throughout the weekend, but a warm-up begins Sunday lasting throughout next week. Highs break into the lower 40s by Tuesday. Rain slides into the region Monday lasting throughout much of next week.
