Tracking dangerous wind chills, light snow this weekend

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and windy with gusts up to 45 mph. Wind chills between -10 and -15 degrees as lows drop to the single digits.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with some light flurries. Highs in the lower teens with wind chills about -10 during the day.

EXTENDED: Strong wind gusts between 35-45 mph are possible through tomorrow morning, allowing wind chills to drop off to between -10 and -15 by morning. We don't see much improvement during the day as we could see gusts between 25-30, with even colder temperatures expected by tomorrow night. Lows fall to about -5, with wind chills between 20-25 degrees below zero. We could also see a few flurries during the day on Saturday. Sunday morning will be the coldest, and we'll see mostly cloudy skies ahead of a quick hitting chance for some light snow accumulation south of I-70. We'll generally see around a dusting to half an inch of light, powdery snow. Monday starts off dry, but feels like about -15 to -20 in the morning. Tuesday will bring sunshine and wind chills around -10 to -25 in the morning. Wednesday will be the last day of bitterly cold morning wind chills, but temperatures still start out in the single digits before warming up to about 30 in the afternoon with sunshine. A weak front will bring a cool down again by Friday with lows near 10 and highs just under 20 degrees.
