Tracking widespread showers to slow holiday travel tomorrow morning
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a spot shower or two. Lows in the mid-upper 40s.
TOMORROW: Rain likely through mid-late afternoon. Mostly cloudy with highs in the mid-50s.
EXTENDED: Tonight, we remain free from widespread rain and temperatures remain well above average as highs drop into the mid-40s. Rain returns tomorrow, with widespread showers from about 7AM through 2PM. Spot showers will be possible through late afternoon, but we'll get some dry time for the rest of the evening. Saturday will be the driest day of the weekend outside of some patchy drizzle, and also the warmest as highs reach the lower 60s. Rain returns on Sunday morning with widespread showers from late morning throughout the entire day. Showers are likely Christmas Day but start to thin out by late afternoon as low pressure finally begins to spin to our northeast. It's much cooler on Tuesday as winds wrap around low pressure from the north, keeping temperatures in the 40s with a spot shower or two through the day. A couple flurries are possible on Tuesday night as temperatures drop to near the freezing mark if precipitation lingers nearby. The rest of the week is noticeably cooler, but still above average with highs in the mid-upper 40s.
