Bright lights holiday nights opens in Southern Columbia

The Bright Lights Holiday Nights display opens up tonight at the Southern Columbia Veterans United Home Loans building. This annual event makes its grand opening at 7 pm lasting through 10:30. This event will occur every night through December 17th.

If you plan on going to this event, make sure you take State Farm pkwy. south to Veterans United. The entrance from South Providence will be used only as an exit for the event in hopes to not bake-up traffic.

Taking a look at the next several nights for your Columbia forecast, Wednesday and Thursday look to be the best nights to make your trip to the VU event as temperatures at night look to warm. Friday night looks to see warmer temperatures also, but rainfall is expected to move into the region throughout the afternoon and overnight hours potentially causing issues for festive participants.
