Tracking a gradual warmup into rain chances

TODAY: We'll start with a chance for some light showers with the possibility to produce a few snowflakes, early this morning. How much of these snowflakes is uncertain, as a small temperature change can have a big difference. This is part of a low that is spinning off to the east of us by sunrise, so most of the day should remain dry. Travel should remain largely unimpacted as accumulations are unlikely, and should be minimal if any at all. Expect a cloudy day, with highs forecast in the low 40s thanks to a northwest breeze.

TONIGHT: Another round of showers is expected tonight, but all precipitation should remain liquid. Temperatures fall to low 30s by sunrise, as clouds exit.

EXTENDED: We'll start Tuesday with a chance at some sunshine, but clouds return shortly, and keep highs in the mid-40s. Winds will shift north to south each day, but more sunshine and consistent south winds return on Wednesday, leading to a high near 50. We'll reach 60s Thursday with dry skies, but another warm day on Friday brings a chance for showers by the afternoon. This rain may last into Saturday, where we'll be a bit cooler. Exact timing and placement of this weekend system is uncertain, but it looks to bring a cool down over the weekend.
