Tracking a few late night showers, chilly Monday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a few showers after sunset, tapering off by mid-morning. Lows in the mid-upper 30s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and breezy with highs in the mid-40s. Wind gusts up to 25 mph.

EXTENDED: A fast moving low pressure system works into Mid-Missouri tonight, bringing light showers to most of the area overnight through early Monday morning. Clouds linger for much of Monday with highs remaining in the mid-40s. Another fast-paced front moves through on Tuesday, but a lack of low level moisture will prevent much rain from falling with that system. Clouds stick around with temperatures remaining in the 40s. Strong northwest winds will make it feel chillier with gusts up to 25 mph. Skies begin to clear out late week, and we'll see a significant warm up under upper high pressure as highs reach the lower 60s on Thursday and Friday. Another cold front moves through on Friday, bringing a chance for some showers by afternoon lasting into the evening, and likely into Saturday. Rain amounts for the entire week will add up to around 0.5" to 0.75". Temperatures fall back to seasonable conditions for next weekend.
