Tracking a cold front to bring more rain and a big cool down by tomorrow

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a spot shower early. Lows in the lower 60s.

TOMORROW: Warm to start with morning temperatures just below 70, but temperatures fall as the cold front slides through into the 50s. Chance of shower and thunderstorms through mid-late afternoon.

EXTENDED:  Cloudy skies are expected yet again overnight. Lows remain in the lower 60s by daybreak. A cold front moves in during the day, dropping temperatures from the upper 60s to the lower 50s and bringing a chance for a few showers or storms. That settles across southern Missouri by evening, leaving us dry and colder for the rest of Friday night. Lows dip into the upper 30s to around 40 by Saturday morning. another round of showers develops along and north of the front Saturday afternoon into the evening, making for a gloomy start to the weekend. Highs on Saturday struggle to get to 50 degrees, and we'll be even cooler on Sunday as we start out in the upper 30s with rain continuing through much of the day. Highs on Sunday only reach the lower 40s with a chance for a few flurries or spotty sleet across far northern Missouri, generally staying north of Highway 36. Precipitation pushes south Sunday night, keeping us out of the woods for any wintry precipitation, but a hard freeze is likely as lows fall into the upper 20s. Wind chills on Monday morning could fall into the upper teens. The rest of the week stays cooler than average with a cold Halloween as morning lows fall into the mid-20s and trick-or-treat temperatures will be in the upper 30s to low 40s. Most of next week looks dry, with a gradual warm up by the end of the week.
