Tracking light rain tonight, clouds sticking around Thursday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a few showers before midnight. Lows falling into the mid-upper 40s.

TOMORROW: Clouds stick around with gusty winds shifting to the northwest. Highs in the mid-upper 60s.

EXTENDED: We are tracking light rain off to our northwest that continues to work in our direction through the next several hours. I'm expecting less than 0.1" of total rainfall, with showers tapering off to the southeast before midnight. Clouds hang on as they wrap around low pressure, along with a couple sprinkles for our far northern extent into the morning. Cloud cover and a strong northwest breeze up to 20 mph will keep temperatures a bit cooler tomorrow, with highs in the mid-60s. A secondary front rolls through tomorrow night, bringing temperatures back down into the mid-40s to start Friday and clears out clouds. We have a beautiful weekend ahead with highs near 70 on Friday and sunshine on Saturday as temperatures climb into the 70s. For those with outdoor plans, gusty winds ramp up again on Saturday, but it's otherwise pleasant. A few clouds return on Sunday ahead of a warm front that may bring a few showers late Sunday night into early Monday morning. Our next best chance of rain will be with a stronger low pressure system that works in on Wednesday. I'm already watching a late week system that will bring a chance for storms and much cooler air by next weekend, but we'll fine tune the details as we get closer.
