Tracking afternoon showers

Today: Afternoon highs rise into the mid-70s with winds remaining out of the southwest at 8-12 mph with gusts up to 28 mph. Showers move into the region after 5 pm along a cold front. Rainfall totals look to remain under 0.10" for the majority of Mid-Missouri.

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to the upper 40s as skies remain mostly cloudy with drier conditions expected. Winds remain out of the southwest at 5-10 mph.

Extended: Thursday sees a slight cool down into the mid-60s as winds return out of the northwest. Highs rise to around 70 degrees into the weekend as skies remain mostly sunny for Mizzou's Homecoming Saturday.
