Tracking mid-week showers & storms into a cool weekend

Today: Afternoon highs rise into he upper 60s as winds remain out of the northwest at 5-10 mph. Skies remain mostly sunny.

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to near 40 degrees as skies remain mostly clear with winds continuing out of the northwest at 4-8 mph.

Extended: Tuesday afternoon sees an increase in cloud cover ahead of an approaching warm front. Wednesday through Friday welcomes chances of showers and storms with rainfall totals up to 1" in far northern portions of Mid-Missouri. A cold front kicks winds out of the northwest following Wednesday through Thursday seeing highs just below 80 degrees. This leads to a significant cool down into this coming weekend.
