Tracking another round of rain and a few storms tonight into Thursday morning

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with another round of showers and storms moving in late. Lows in the low to mid-60s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with showers exiting by midday. Gradual clearing with highs in the mid-upper 70s.

EXTENDED: As low level winds increase from the southwest along the cold front tonight, we can expect another round that brings measurable rain and a few storms to much of Mid-Missouri, especially south of I-70. 0.25" to 0.5" of rain is possible through midday Thursday as showers exit to the east by around lunch time. We'll manage to make it to the mid-upper 70s again with later day sunshine, but a secondary cold front works through on Thursday night, dropping us into the upper 40s to around 50 by Friday morning. Friday will be breezy and cool with highs in the mid-60s. Strong winds continue into Saturday, bringing morning wind chills into the mid-upper 30s. Otherwise, the day is sunny and cool with highs near 60. We'll gradually warm on Sunday but we'll start out with patchy frost across the northern half of the area as we dip into the upper 30s. Next week starts off warm and dry with highs in the mid-70s. By mid-late week we'll be under another upper high pressure system that sends temperatures back above average, but another system could bring late week or weekend rain and cooler weather.
