Tracking a continued summer feel into next week

TODAY: We're tracking drier conditions this morning, with much more of the same in the forecast ahead. Expect temperatures to reach a few degrees warmer than yesterday, to put us near 85 for a high give or take depending on your location. Skies are expected to be mostly sunny, with only some fair weather clouds lingering this morning in the east. It's possible some near Montgomery City and Hermann see a sprinkle from this around sunrise, but otherwise we're dry and increasingly sunny.

TONIGHT: Some additional clouds may develop as a warm front lifts through the region overnight. Still, at most we'll be partly cloudy, and sun is expected at daybreak. Temperatures hit a floor in the low 60s thanks to the return of a south breeze.

EXTENDED: Overall the forecast is quite boring, with daily sunshine and highs in the upper 80s. Some days will be warmer than others, though, as we near 90 both Friday and Saturday. Both days will feature dewpoints in the mid-60s, so feels like temperatures in the 90s can be expected regardless of the mercury reading. From here, we're not as hot, but still warm, with highs reaching only mid-80s through Wednesday of next week. Dry weather hangs on at least through Monday, but hints at rain return with a large trough of low pressure expected to near sometime Tuesday into Wednesday. This could also end our warm streak and give us at least a temporary taste of fall.
