Tracking continued fall like air through Friday

TONIGHT: Mostly clear with patchy fog developing by early morning. Temperatures dipping to the low 50s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny with highs in the lower 70s.

EXTENDED: High pressure centered over the Plains is keeping clear skies over Mid-Missouri the next few days as temperatures remain below average. Dew points drop to near the air temperatures tonight, allowing for fog to develop by daybreak, especially in low lying areas. Expect sunshine on Wednesday and Thursday and more clouds on Friday ahead of a cold front that will move through early on Saturday. That front will bring more cloud cover on Saturday and a chance for some afternoon or evening showers. Widespread rain isn't expected, but have an umbrella handy just in case. Behind the front, skies clear but temperatures remain in the upper 70s to close out the weekend on Sunday. Next week, upper high pressure begins to build once again, sending temperatures back into the lower 80s.
