Tracking strong humidity and rain chances in the work week
TONIGHT: I'm tracking another calm night, with temperatures dropping into the low 70s because of increasing southerly winds bringing mid-MO more humid air. Clouds will start to build in the overnight hours.
TOMORROW: I'm tracking a partly cloudy start to the day with stronger humidity. By mid-afternoon temperatures will be in the low 90s, but humidity will make it feel like it's in the high 90s. I'm tracking isolated to scattered rain chances through the mid to late afternoon that diminish by the evening hours.
EXTENDED: Tuesday is a similar setup to tomorrow, with the heat index by the afternoon hours reaching into the high 90s. Skies are tracking to be partly cloudy to mostly cloudy, and there are more isolated to scattered rain chances through the day. Wednesday is our best bet as of now to observe precipitation because of a cold front moving through in the early morning hours. There is a chance for weak thunderstorms with this, and will start the cooling trend through the rest of the week. We see some small daily rain chances into the weekend, and temperatures will be dropping into the mid 80s.
