Tracking strong to severe storm chances tonight and a dry week ahead

TONIGHT: It's a Weather Alert Day for Mid-MO as another round of strong to severe storms is set to roll through in the evening and overnight hours. Trends have shown that the majority of this activity is set to appear over our southern counties, but we could see those threats sneak north if the correct conditions are met. The main system as of now is trending to set up just to the south of the viewing area, but our southern counties will be seeing at the least very consistent rain chances, which is why Maries, Miller, Camden, Pulaski, and Phelps county are all in a Flood watch until 7 AM tomorrow. The main concerns are hail stones up to 1" or larger, strong winds, and the threat of an isolated tornado, with the threat of flash flooding setting up to the south as well. The Weather Alert Day is set to expire at midnight, but we could see lingering storm chances as these systems have been rather slow moving.

TOMORROW: I'm tracking very slight morning rain chances, but the majority of this is once again hanging to the south. It'll be humid to start the day, and Mid-MO could see some morning fog. Clouds will be clearing throughout the day as rain chances dissipate, and the humidity will decrease as well, setting up for a more pleasant day for this time of the year, as temperatures will be in the mid 70s.

EXTENDED: The rest of the work week I'm tracking mostly sunny to partly cloudy conditions, and temperatures staying below average for this time of year. Tuesday will be in the mid 70s once again, and throughout the second half of the week, temperatures will slowly climb into the low to mid 80s. By the weekend, temperatures are tracking to get back into the average range, possibly getting into the low 90s. Overall, it's going to be a dry and sunny week after these shower and storm systems move out of mid-MO.
