Tracking partly cloudy skies before widespread Wednesday storms

Today: Afternoon highs climb into the mid-80s with winds out of the northwest at 5-10 mph. Skies remain partly cloudy.

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to the upper 60s as skies become mostly cloudy. Winds switch out of the southwest at 4-8 MPH.

Extended: Wednesday sees widespread showers and storms with the possibility for a few strong to severe storms. Strong winds up to 60 MPH remain the primary threat with the possibility of hail and flash flooding as secondary threats. highs rebound by the second half of the week towards the upper 80s with isolated chances of spotty showers into the weekend remaining mostly dry for the region until Sunday afternoon.
