Tracking clear and hot conditions to start the weekend

Today: Nearly all of Saturday is expected to be dry with partly cloudy skies. Highs reach around 90 degrees, and it'll still be muggy as you head out so stay hydrated. Today is a great day to head to the fair as we stay dry!

Tomorrow: Storm chances have shifted even further into Sunday, with storms now set to arrive well after midnight. Storms early in the morning could bring isolated strong winds and hail with low severe potential. Another risk of severe storms opens up late Sunday afternoon, though this chance is focused mostly east of Mid-MO. Afternoon storms could bring strong winds and hail again, and we are also currently under a very low risk for tornadoes.

Extended: Drier weather looks to settle in on Monday and Tuesday, but more active weather may return as soon as Tuesday night into Wednesday. Cooler temperatures follow our storms on Sunday; much of next week will remain in the 80s.
