Tracking intense heat building throughout the work week into the weekend

TONIGHT: I'm tracking a general clearing for mid-Missouri as most of the higher storm chances exit the viewing area. Temperatures will be dropping down into the low 70s, and winds will be blowing at 5-10 mph from the SSW.

TOMORROW: I'm tracking early morning isolated rain and storm chances that decay as the morning continues. I'll be tracking another round in the afternoon hours, but this seems to be tracking more to the east as of now. Temperatures will be moving into the high 90s, and winds will be picking up, blowing at 10-15 mph, and gusts up to 25 mph, from the SW.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking this intense summer heat continuing to rise, as Wednesday could be our first day of the week where we observe temperatures entering the triple digits. Wednesday I'm expecting mid-Missouri to get right around 100 degrees on average, with the heat index ranging from 101-103 degrees. There could be some slight morning chances for rain on Wednesday, but it seems limited as of now. Thursday and Friday I'm expecting temperatures to be a degree or two higher, with the heat index ranging from 102-104 degrees. Through the weekend, temperatures are expected to cool down slightly, but they will still be reaching mid to high 90s.
