Tracking isolated rain chances through the weekend and a hot week ahead

TONIGHT: I'm tracking isolated showers/weak thunderstorms starting this evening and lasting through early Sunday morning. Temperatures will be dropping into the mid 60s across mid-Missouri.

TOMORROW: After the isolated morning showers, I'm tracking a brief break until the afternoon hours, where we'll see another round of weak thunderstorms and rain, again not looking like anything widespread. As for temperatures, they'll be working their way into the low 90s.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking another chance of rain Monday and temperatures getting up into the mid 90s, which will be setting the trend for the rest of the week. A heat dome associated with a high pressure system to the west will be taking it's time moving closer to us, meaning we'll be seeing consistent hot temperatures every day next week. Starting Tuesday and lasting throughout the rest of the week, temperatures will be in the high 90s, and lows will only be making it down to the low/mid 70s. Humidity will also play a factor in making it feel a few degrees warmer each day. Because of this high pressure system staying so far west, it does provide slight chances each night, Tuesday through Thursday, for possible thunderstorm activity. Confidence on this is a little lower as of now, but because of the placement, the chances aren't out of the question.
