Tracking showers returning quickly this afternoon

THIS AFTERNOON: Wednesday is steamy with heavy moisture pushing the heat index close to triple digits. Conditions remain dry through midafternoon before scattered rain slowly moves back in from the west.

TONIGHT: On and off rain continues past midnight, with stronger storms rolling in closer to sunrise. Isolated high winds and hail are possible.

EXTENDED: Take caution for the Thursday morning commute with flooding impacts from heavy morning storms. The rest of the day there is dry, and just as hot as Wednesday in the 90s. One last push of showers early Friday should cool conditions briefly to the upper 80s, with drier weather settling in over the weekend.
