Tracking morning through afternoon showers/ storms

Today: Showers and storms move into the region after 7 AM with the primary impacts being heavy downpours and gusty winds. A few storms have the possibility to become strong with isolated winds up to 60 mph possible. Afternoon highs only reach into the mid-80s with the wind direction varying.

Tonight: A few isolated showers and storms are possible in northeastern portions of Mid-Missouri. overnight lows reach into the upper 60s.

Extended: Wednesday sees rising temperatures with mid-level winds out of the southwest fueling highs reaching into the lower 90s. Late afternoon/ evening scattered showers and storms remain possible. Thursday sees a slight chance of more isolated showers/ storms. Highs cool beginning Friday into the weekend with highs leaning towards the mid to upper 80s.
