Tracking another round of severe storms Saturday afternoon

This Morning: Scattered showers and storms move through in the early morning, mostly clearing by noon. This dry time will allow temperatures to still reach near 90 degrees today, big relief from the recent heat, but still enough to fuel stronger storms this afternoon.

Today: Strong to severe storms develop after noon with the eastern half of the area seeing the highest risk. All of Mid-MO could see winds up to 70 mph and isolated hail today. Severe storms will last up to midnight, with more rain into tomorrow.

Extended: Scattered showers linger into Sunday as the severe risk diminishes early Sunday morning. Monday will be the best time to head out ahead of the holiday with the driest conditions, but evening showers are still possible. Tuesday for the fourth, we can expect a greater chance of showers and storms during the evening hours.
