Tracking a dry week bringing back the summer heat

This Afternoon: Highs warm to the mid to upper 80s with sunny skies returning.

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to the mid to lower 60s. Winds switch out of the east at 4-8 mph.

Extended: High pressure remains overhead throughout the week leading to temperatures nearing 90 degrees Tuesday with mostly sunny skies. A slight change in the position of a low pressure system to our east brings an uptick in clouds beginning Wednesday. Thursday through Saturday remain mostly dry for much of Mid-Missouri but a spot shower/ thunderstorm remains possible each afternoon. Measurable rainfall across the region remains very low until Sunday when we could see chances of showers and storms return.
