Tracking storm chances in the evening that last through Father’s Day

TONIGHT: I'm tracking storm chances that pick up in the later evening hours that last throughout the night into Sunday morning. Currently the severe risk is relatively low, but if we do experience anything severe, the highest chances are going to be strong winds and hail. As we get into the later hours of the night, the energy and ingredients needed to produce severe weather start to drop off, which means thunderstorms will start to weaken as well, but there are still those chances for stronger storms in the viewing area.

TOMORROW: I'm tracking more scattered storm chances in Missouri on Father's Day, with the best chances staying in the afternoon hours. Once again, if mid-Missouri gets anything severe, the main culprits will be hail and damaging winds. These chances are low once again, as energy will quickly wane into the evening hours. This doesn't discount select areas from getting those isolated storms with more energy. I'm not expecting substantial rain totals from these systems over the next two days, as there isn't much moisture available. On average I'm forecasting .5'' to .75'' of rain, with some areas getting closer to an inch. With this in mind, our drought conditions aren't looking to get much better in a widespread view.

EXTENDED: As we get into the early hours Monday, I'm tracking a dry trend lasting throughout the entire week as the last of our rain chances exit mid-Missouri. Monday is tracking to be our coolest day, but it won't be noticeable as we'll be reaching the high 80s. as for the rest of the week, I'm tracking mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies, and high temperatures getting up into the low 90s.
