Tracking a mild and dry pattern ahead of warmth and more rain chances this weekend

TONIGHT: After climbing into the 70s Monday afternoon, temperatures will again drop well into the 50s overnight. Winds will shift out of the south by sunrise for many, but it's too little too late to make any impact on temperatures. It will be another brisk start early Tuesday.

TOMORROW: Tuesday will start cool, but warm rapidly. Expect temperatures to approach 80 under mostly sunny skies with a southwest breeze.

EXTENDED: By Wednesday, we're tracking a couple of waves that could influence our skies. One from the west aloft, and one from the northeast at the surface. This realistically only looks to bring us partly cloudy skies, but at worst (or best) could bring us an isolated shower or storm. Chances are extremely low, though, and Wednesday will more than likely remain dry and partly cloudy with a high in the upper 80s. With plenty of sunshine on Thursday, temperatures are expected near 90. Growing moisture from the southwest may be enough to bring better chances for thunderstorms by Friday afternoon, becoming more likely on Saturday. A warm and somewhat wet pattern is possible from Friday through the weekend, as temperatures are forecast in the upper 80s, with daily chances for rain through Monday. The best chance for rain looks to be on Saturday, with chances lower, but not zero Sunday and Monday.
