Tracking summer-like temperatures with chances of storms Wednesday

Today: Temperatures look to rise once again to well-above average highs into the upper 80s this afternoon. Skies remain mostly sunny with a slight haze do to lower-level wildfire smoke drifting from fires in Canada back towards Mid-Missouri.

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to the mid to upper 50s as cloud cover begins to build in from the northeast. Winds remain calm out of the north.

Extended: Wednesday welcomes a cold front from the northeast leading to mid-day and afternoon scattered showers and storms that look to exit just after sunrise Thursday morning. This cold front will cool temperatures into the mid to lower 80s throughout Wednesday and Thursday. Skies remain mostly sunny Friday with a warm-up into the upper 80s. Saturday and Sunday welcomes more chances of scattered showers and storms.
