Tracking the return of isolated afternoon storms today

TODAY: Temperatures today again reach the lower 90s, with more cloud cover filling in throughout the morning. Isolated storms are possible all afternoon, but most of the area will stay dry.

TOMORROW: Rain chances shift west, with more of Mid-MO dry on Monday. Highs in the lower 90s again thanks to drier conditions.

EXTENDED: Tuesday looks mostly dry, with highs still hot - nearly 90. A cold front from the northeast will drop in, bringing a slight cool down Wednesday, but also a chance for rain. Depending on how far the front pushes, we may see lingering rain chances Thursday as well. Expect highs in the mid-80s on Thursday, only for them to climb back to upper 80s, and approach 90 again by next weekend.
