Tracking a drier Saturday with hotter temperatures

Today: Mostly sunny as high pressure pushes afternoon storm chances to our west. We remain dry and climb into the lower 90s, one of the warmest days since the end of last summer. Remain hydrated and apply sunscreen!

Tomorrow: Storm chances return Sunday afternoon as a weak atmospheric disturbance moves through. Storms will be isolated bringing downpours and lightning as we saw for parts of the past week. Temperatures will once again reach the lower 90s.

Extended: We flip-flop back to drier conditions Monday, before another shot at storms Tuesday afternoon. Both days are still hot, reaching near 90, but highs cool to the mid to upper 80s into the second half of the week. Rain totals will be meager, with the majority of Mid-Missouri staying dry, and generally less than 1/2 an inch of rainfall this week.
