Tracking a bright and warm Memorial Day, hotter for the week ahead

TONIGHT: Mostly clear with lows falling into the upper 50s.

MEMORIAL DAY: Bright and sunny with highs in the low to mid-80s.

EXTENDED: It's been a beautiful Sunday with continued lower humidity, and we'll close out the holiday weekend on a nice note Monday as highs reach the low to mid-80s with low humidity and sunshine. A blocking pattern that will take hold for the entire week will start to shift winds more to the south starting Tuesday, increasing temperatures and humidity gradually each day. We'll see highs in the upper 80s to around 90 degrees each afternoon, with slowly increasing nighttime temperatures that reach the upper 60s by the end of the week. Organized showers and storms will be hard to come by, but we could see daily heat-driven isolated thunderstorms that pop up by late afternoon and diminish as the sun goes down. Rain amounts for the entire 7-day period add up to under 0.25".
