Tracking a gorgeous Friday before a gradual holiday weekend warmup

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cooler with lows in the lower 50s.

TOMORROW: Lower humidity and cooler with highs in the upper 70s. Mostly sunny with light winds.

EXTENDED: Drier air is moving into Mid-Missouri this afternoon and evening as a cold front has settled in from the northeast. This will keep skies clear overnight and humidity low into Friday as dew points dip into the upper 30s. We'll reach the upper 70s for highs on Friday afternoon. The weekend looks great with temperatures gradually warming into the low to mid-80s on Saturday and Sunday with few clouds and continued comfortable air. Memorial Day is looking warmer and still dry for barbecues and pool time, but we'll start the warming trend into the upper 80s. Next week will be hot and slightly more humid as highs reach the lower 90s, but upper high pressure keeps rain chances at a minimum. A few air mass thunderstorms are possible between Tuesday and Thursday, but widespread measurable rain isn't expected.
