Tracking clouds and a spot storm Thursday, gorgeous by Friday
TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with lows falling to around 60. Showers and storms diminish with sunset.
TOMORROW: Partly cloudy with a spot shower or storm along Highway 65. Highs in the lower 80s.
EXTENDED: I'm tracking spotty storms that will continue to diminish after sunset tonight, leaving us with partly cloudy skies and lows in the upper 50s to around 60. A cold front moving in from the northeast will bring more clouds on Thursday and stall out across far western Missouri. There could be a couple of spotty storms along the boundary on Thursday, but most areas stay dry. Friday looks amazing with lower humidity and cooler temperatures starting out in the lower 50s. The afternoon will bring temperatures in the upper 70s. We'll start the weekend off on a great note with temperatures around 80 on Saturday. From there we gradually warm through Memorial Day in the mid-upper 80s. We'll remain rain free as upper level high pressure stays locked in over the region. As that ridge starts to break down early next week, we could see a chance for a few showers and storms between Tuesday and Wednesday, but southwesterly upper winds will bring temperatures back about 10 degrees above average in the upper 80s to low 90s.
