Tracking lingering showers before a sunny weekend

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to the upper 40s as winds remain out of the northwest at 5-10 mph. Lingering showers dissipate giving way to partly cloudy skies.

Tomorrow: High pressure moves back into the region revealing a mostly sunny day as highs struggle to make it into the mid-70s due to continuous winds out of the northwest at 5-10 mph with gusts up to 18 mph.

Extended: Sunday sees more sunshine as winds switch out of the northwest driving temperatures near the 80 degree mark. A high pressure system sits overhead throughout the first half of the week leading to mostly sunny skies lasting through Tuesday as highs warm into the mid-80s. Wednesday and Thursday sees a chance of scattered showers.
