Tracking a warm Mother’s Day with scattered showers and storms
TONIGHT: I'm tracking a slight chance for scattered rain and thunderstorms, but for the most part we are through the main threats in the day. Clouds staying broken to partly cloudy in some parts of the viewing area, and winds from the SW at 4-6 mph.
TOMORROW: It's Mother's Day, and I'm tracking more chances for scattered showers/storms. The highest chance will be in the afternoon and evening as a cold front pushes through mid-Missouri. Temperatures will be working their way into the mid-80s, and winds will be shifting to the N-NE at 8-12 mph, with gusts up to 20 mph.
EXTENDED: For the first part of the work week, I'm tracking a drier trend, along with slightly cooler temperatures after the cold front on Sunday. Monday will be starting us off in the mid-70s, and as the week goes on, we're warming back up into the 80s. We see some slight chances for morning rain on Monday, and very small chances on Tuesday for rain, but I'm tracking mostly dry conditions for this time period. The next highest chance we have for scattered rain and storm chances is Thursday night into Friday as another cold front pushes through the area, dropping our temperatures slightly again to end the week.
